#1 Villas are in High Demand

After so many holidays were postponed due to lockdowns and destination restrictions, it’s no surprise that travel is in such high demand. 2022 saw many rearranged bookings that should have travelled in 2020 and 2021. In addition to this so many of you have been desperate to get away that after two years at home that it’s no surprise it’s been so busy.

Villas in particular are in high demand post covid, for many they offer a safer place than large hotels with many people. They are your holiday ‘bubble’ (for want of a better word) where you can travel with people you know, and the space ratio means there’s plenty for everyone!

If you’re travelling with a family, larger villas are even more in demand. During the peak of school holidays, these are booking up fast.

#2 Secure the Flight you Want

It’s not only villas that are in high demand. Unless you turned off the news completely in the last few weeks you will have seen the coverage chaotic airlines and airports.

We are confident that by winter 2022/23 this will be in a better place, but it does however have longer implications. Many airlines are already looking to consolidate their schedules to ensure we don’t have a repeat of this summer. It is also certain that there will be pressure on them from airports to do this and ensure a much more comfortable experience for travellers.

This lower capacity means one thing for the traveller … higher prices. So, we recommend that along with your villa you ensure that you secure your flights as soon as possible. Flights to key destinations for winter sun are on sale up to 11 months in advance. #3 Get your Favourite Destination without Compromise

Winter is peak travel time for a number of top holiday destinations. Not only does it offer the best weather for places like the Caribbean, the Middle East and the Maldives; with the school holidays over Christmas, it’s also a huge attraction for families.

Some destinations have only recently opened their borders too, creating even more demand.

So, if you have your heart set on some of the top winter sunspots, be sure to plan it as soon as you can.
