The former home of Jane Austen’s favourite brother Henry, Henry's Townhouse is a collaboration between the award-winning Russell Sage Studio and Jane & Steven Collins who have together created a home that is curious, engaging and full of Georgian glamour.

With just seven bedrooms, Henry’s was passionately created for the discerning guest as a discreet London abode where flexibility, privacy, service and comfort are all at the fore of a stay. The sophisticated and adaptable setting is perfect for special occasions with family and friends, long & short private house stays or luxury corporate events, meetings and launches.

Sleeping up to 14 guests in seven bedrooms, Henry’s can be rented for longer stays where privacy and a feeling of home is central to its core. Alternatively, the property can be rented for shorter stays for extravagant celebrations with the in-house staff on hand to help plan a memorable stay.

At Henry’s, guests can enjoy seven beautifully appointed bedrooms, Monsieur Halavant's Pantry for intimate dining or meetings, the cosy Carriage Snug or Terrace for evening aperitifs and Jane’s Sitting Room for afternoon teas, pre-dinner entertaining or simply to snuggle on the sofa watching a favourite movie.

Each individual bedroom is a glamorous reimagining of the Georgian period, inspired by novelist Jane Austen, who stayed at No.24 whilst visiting her brother Henry whom resided there. Every aspect of the design, has been painstakingly thought out with rich fabrics and colour palettes, sophisticated antiques and the finest modern in-room amenities, taking the home away from home experience to a whole new level.

Each bedroom has its own unique narrative to tell. Much like novels on a shelf, they invite guests to open them up, step in and become immersed in a rich visual story inspired by the Austen family.

M.Halavant's Pantry

M. Halavant's Pantry is the traditional Georgian inspired kitchen. By day, breakfast is served from the refectory table, meetings take place & lunches are savoured. By night it is the setting for beautiful private dinners & celebrations.The refined Georgian Pantry is the heart of Henry’s Townhouse. With its bespoke refectory style dining table, Aga with London Stone surround, bespoke cabinetry and carefully chosen antique tiles adorning the cooking area, the space is relaxed, charming and flexible for every occasion, anytime of day. The room seats up to 14 people, with a fully equipped kitchen and service kitchen for private hire right beside.

A clever design closes up the kitchen areas and transforms the pantry into a fabulous space for meetings for up to 14 delegates complete with state of the art AV equipment. The in-house chef can work with guests to ensure they are well nourished throughout their day.

Jane's Sitting Room

Paying homage to Jane Austen herself, the Sitting Room is a sophisticated yet homely space. The room enjoys the perfect mix of comfy and more formal seating in beautiful velvets, vibrant textures and a grand crystal chandelier. The delightful airy space is just the place to enjoy an afternoon tea, evening drinks reception or simply relax with a book feeling completely at home.

The Carriage Snug

This small yet quirky space on our first floor landing is based on an stylish railway carriage. Fun and full of decadent fabrics The Carriage Snug is the place to enjoy a glass of wine or a tipple from our fantastic selection of British artisan spirits.

Terrace

The terrace on the second floor is perfect for a quiet morning coffee or evening aperitif.

  • Henry is a 14 m² / 151 ft² Bedroom containing a double sized four Poster Bed with a roll Top Bath with Shower. The room is air conditioned and has a flatscreen TV with Sky.
  • Eliza is a 29 m² / 312 ft² Bedroom containing a King sized Four Poster with a Roll Top Bath with Shower. The room is air conditioned and has a flatscreen TV with Sky.
  • Cassandra is a 17 m² / 161 ft² Bedroom with a Super King (can be made into a Twin Room), with a Roll Top Bath with Shower. The room is air conditioned and has a flatscreen TV with Sky.
  • James is a 22 m² / 237 ft² Bedroom consisting of a King sized Four Poster with an ensuite Shower. The room is air conditioned and has a flatscreen TV with Sky. A sofa bed can also be made available on request in this room.
  • Frank is a 17 m² / 183 ft² bedroom with Twin Canopy Beds and an Ensuite Shower. The room is air conditioned and has a flatscreen TV with Sky.
  • Phylly is a 17 m² / 183 ft² bedroom with a Super King sized bed and an En-suite. The room is air conditioned and has a flatscreen TV with Sky.
  • Charles is a 15 m² / 161 ft² bedroom with a Super King Sized Bed (which can be made into Twins) and a roll Top Bath with Shower. The room is air conditioned and has a flatscreen TV with Sky.

Be it French paintings, food markets, or a stroll through Regent’s Park, Marylebone offers something for every mood or matter.

If shopping is of interest, you are in the right neighbourhood. Marylebone is a world-famous shopping destination, home to shops like the famous Daunt Books, The Conran Shop, Ciré Trudon, the oldest candlemakers in the world, and smaller independents likeSixty 6 on Bulstrode Street, one of the original fashion & jewellery boutiques full of beautiful cashmere, colourful prints & contemporary jewellery.

  • The Henry's team is always mindful of social distancing measures whilst moving through the building especially in smaller areas. Moreover, the cleaning staff regularly sanitize all surfaces and areas of contact throughout the spaces.
  • On arrival, check-in will take place in Jane’s sitting room at a safe social distance whilst our luggage is taken to the bedrooms.
  • Please note that the number of persons using the accommodation at any time must not exceed 14 adults & 2 children under 12. This property manager does not recommend very young children or toddlers due to the antiques and townhouse style but 10+ or babies in arms should be fine. This property manager asks parents to be responsible for their children and keep children in sight at all times.
  • Please note that the Pantry dining room seats no more than 14 at any one time.
  • Please note that only those people listed on the booking form can occupy Henry’s Townhouse unless agreed in advance
  • Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under 25 years of age.
  • A live-in House Manager is included within the rate however where the client will include their own staffing the property manager reserves the right to enter Henry’s Townhouse at any time to undertake essential maintenance or for inspection purposes.
  • Please note that music must be kept inside at a respectable level and the terrace closes at 9pm in line with the licensing act. All music must be turned off by 11.30pm
