A stay at Henry’s Townhouse delivers the unexpected and redefines a luxurious stay in one of London’s most charming neighbourhoods, Marylebone.

Our interiors have been inspired by Jane Austen’s favourite brother, Henry, who lived at this esteemed address in the 18th Century. It blends the beautiful interiors of a bygone era using sumptuous fabrics, curated artworks and antiques with a host of sophisticated modern amenities.

Our six elegant and thoughtfully designed bedrooms, each have their own unique narrative to tell. Much like novels on a shelf, they invite you to open them up, step in and become immersed in a rich visual story inspired by the Austen family.

Every bedroom features its own interior style with beautiful fabrics, an abundance of diverse artworks and antique furniture. Combine this with the finest functional modern amenities including, air con, Dyson Hairdryers, L:a Bruket Organic Bath amenities and a complimentary mini bar filled with Press Smoothies and a curated selection of our favourite British artisan spirits. A delicious breakfast menu is included daily and served in our Pantry kitchen.

Reception Rooms:

The elegant yet calming reception spaces are perfect for those staying with us on a room by room basis to enjoy and explore for evening aperitifs, a morning coffee, leisurely breakfasts, catching up with old friends or mobile working.

For those taking exclusive hire, the reception spaces are unique both in size & style yet create a perfect flow for guests to enjoy and explore in a sophisticated house party environment.

Monsieur Halavant's Pantry:

M. Halavant's Pantry is the panelled Georgian inspired kitchen & dining room. The place where the guests enjoy Henry’s breakfast each morning at the refectory table or meetings and working lunches are savoured.

By night and on request it can be transformed with floral displays and candlelight, setting the scene for beautiful private dinners & celebrations or relaxed family meals after a long day exploring the sights when taken exclusively.

Jane's Reading Room:

Paying homage to Jane Austen herself, the largest reception room cleverly combines comfy yet formal seating finished in beautiful velvets and subtle prints, an antique corner desk, side tables and a grand crystal chandelier with the modern day amenities of HD Smart TV, air con, Wi-fi & Sonos. All present yet sophisticatedly hidden.

The delightful airy space with large Georgian windows on off the entrance hall is just the place to enjoy morning tea, an evening aperitif of English cuvee or simply relax with a book feeling completely at home.

Hanry's Drawing Room:

Sophisticated yet intimate drawing room provides a beautiful contrast to the softer colours of Jane’s Reading Room next door. It offers guests a further hideaway, evocative of a smart Regency home yet boasting sumptuous velvets, smart stripes and elegant seating to enjoy your home cooked breakfast, delectable macarons and tea in the afternoon or a smooth glass of red wine by night.

The Carriage Snug:

This small yet quirky space on the first floor landing is based on a stylish railway carriage of times gone by. Fun and full of rich and decadent fabrics, the Carriage Snug is the place to enjoy a glass of wine or our favourite London gin & tonic with a game of backgammon. By day its the ideal spot for breakfast for one or a quiet and unique work space.

The Terrace:

The small terrace situated just off our second floor provides fresh air and a peaceful outdoor oasis. With its antique tiles adorning smart railings, large footed planters filled with seasonal foliage and giant vintage clock, a simple yet stylish rooftop gem in London has been created.

An all year round heater, cosy blankets and candlelight ensure al fresco drinks throughout the seasons.
